I wanted a drone that
wouldn't break the bank but was above the toy level drones I had
been flying for several years. The lower end drones even the
Parrott AR Drone 2.0 and I have does not have a three axis camera
gimble so the video jumps around as the attitude of the drone
changes in flight. The camera of the Mavic Mini adjusts for
that. The video is 2.7K video, pictures with 4000 x 2250 pixel
resolution with it's12 mp camera. Not 4k video like the brand
new Mavic Mini 2 and its larger Mavic cousins. I am not doing
professional work with it. Just hobby flying. I would
need a Part 107 drone pilots license to make money with my drone.
If you are looking to upgrade
from the toy style drones you won't be disappointed. The Mini
Mavic is very stable and very easy and a joy to fly. It fly's
very stable. The drone will fly about 20-25 minutes with one
battery.
When I was researching a new
drone to by, again that wouldn't break the bank. I was looking
at the SG907 and similar models. It is a 4K drone but I found
a side by side video comparison that a YouTube drone flyer had done
and there was no comparison. The Mini Mavic was better video
quality even thought it was only 2.7K.
Two items I have added to my
setup was the UXOPI Table Holder and an iPad Mini 2. The mini
can be used two ways with the controller. The controller will
clip onto the upper edges of the mini or use the tablet holder.
The iPad mini gives a much larger screen for flying. Much
easier to see what the drone is seeing. |
